Ornah Medovoi
J.D., AMFT # 145881
Therapist
(323) 363 - 1728
Ornah believes that healing and wellness in therapy begin with a relationship rooted in trust and authenticity. Ornah therefore seeks to create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their vulnerabilities and make meaning of their life experiences. Whether feeling stuck; experiencing relational difficulty; unresolved childhood issues; chronic pain; a challenging life transition; trauma; or behavior and mood-related issues, such as eating disorders, depression, and anxiety, Ornah brings to treatment unwavering support, compassion, curiosity, and insight, as she patiently works with the client to overcome their challenges and meet their goals, needs, and hopes. Ornah’s practice takes a psychodynamic approach that integrates humanistic, existential, and attachment based principles. Yet, Ornah also recognizes that each person is unique, that psychology is complex, and that treatment must be tailored towards the client’s own experiences and perceptions.
Ornah further believes that growth and change are always possible and therefore enjoys working with people of all ages, backgrounds, and circumstances, whether in an individual, couple, family, or group setting. In addition to providing services in-office and through telehealth, Ornah offers ‘walk and talk’ therapy, in which therapy is taken outdoors. This style of therapy can help some clients feel more at ease as a result of the natural surroundings and minimal eye-to-eye contact, while also providing increased emotional and physical benefits that come with movement.
